In Hong Kong, there is a lot of pressure—from parents, teachers, and society—to funnel into a select few careers. Our definition of success seems to be quite narrow, celebrating only those who pursue reputable paths.

With Discovareer, a career exploration platform for youth, we hope to highlight alternative career paths and help students discover possibilities beyond what is conventional. Here is a quick and easy guide to using Discovareer!

Upon clicking on Discovareer, which is on our navigation bar (top of the page), you’ll be brought to our main directory of careers. You can then check out the careers that interest you.

On each page, you can find information such as what they do, skills & qualifications needed, sample responsibilities, and monthly salary. You also have the option to connect with mentors and hear about their experience and advice!
